Dyson Vacuums - How Do They Compare?

We admit it. Dyson vacuums look kind of cool, or at least different. While we don't really take looks into account, the distinct presentation of a Dyson vacuum combined with a massive advertising campaign have turned Dyson into a houshold name and have made it a very popular vacuum cleaner choice for consumers.

Dyson vacuum cleaners are bagless. Some people really like this feature because they have had some negative experiences trying to locate vacuum bags for older vacuums. Dyson also promotes the fact that the include a lifetime filter. We wouldn't really go that far, and most of the uprights have 2 filters with only one being what they call a lifetime filter. With that being said the filters are extremely easy to find in stores at the moment, and we think it's safe to assume that Dyson vacuum filters and parts will remain very accessible to consumers (at least online) due to the popularity of their product line.

Dyson vacuums perform well on carpet and on hard floors. For a bagless vacuum cleaner, Dyson produced a fairly low amount of emissions which would be a concern for those with very sever allergies. Compared to most upright vacuums available in retail stores, Dyson holds it's own,

Dyson has continued to introduce new and improved models as time goes on. The Dyson Ball is an example of there commitment to innovation in the vacuum market. Dyson vacuum cleaners are relatively easy to maintain and if you don't neglect to change or clean the filters you shouldn't have any real problems.

For those of you who are considering buying a Dyson, we strongly recommend you buy it online from a vacuum cleaner store. While Dyson is pervasive in retail outlets across the country, if you ever have a significant problem or a question regarding maintenance, you are probably not going to get any answers from a retail outlet. Go to the shopping centers and check out the various models available. The cost is going to be the same online or in a store, but these vacuums are expensive and if you have a problem, you would be better served to buy it from somebody who would have the ability and interest to help you.

Overall, we feel the Dyson vacuum cleaners currently available are decent when compared to other retail quality vacuums. We feel that it is highly unlikely that a Dyson is going to out perform or prove to be as durable as a Sebo vacuum or a Miele vacuum, but they don't cost quite as much either. Again, you are buying a bagless vacuum cleaner, so you really need to be certain this is a feature that you would prefer in a vacuum. Dyson vacs are also kind of heavy as far as upright vacuums go and a little bit noisy. These aren't problems (unless weight is an issue), just observations. Some of the newer models are a bit lighter than the standard Dyson vacuums for consumers who desire a lighter upright vacuum.

Dyson Vacuum Cleaner Review

Dyson DC24 Ball - The Dyson ball is probably the best or at least one of the best Dyson upright vacuums. It is very easy to steer. Like all Dyson vacuums it is bagless.
